On the 7th October, the north-west region of Afghanistan was hit by a 6.3 magnitude earthquake causing mass devastation in one of the hardest places in the world to be a child.
War Child staff were some of the first to respond and are on the ground working tirelessly to help children and families whose homes have been damaged or destroyed by setting up temporary shelters.
The team have been providing aid such as clean water, warm clothes and hygiene kits, and have reached nearly 20,000 children by providing psychosocial support, reuniting children with their families who were separated after the earthquake hit, and set up child friendly spaces for children to feel safe.
