Bringing War Child to you at Standon Calling

War Child helps more than 100,000 children across the world. One of the most loved services we provide is Child Friendly Spaces (CFS).

Displacement camps can be unfriendly environments for children, especially for those who are still coming to terms with huge changes—losing their home and possibly family members, not being able to see their friends from school, they may also be injured.

The CFS provides a space for children to be children again—a place where they can safely play games and learn with other children, make friends, and cope with the horrors they’ve experienced.

Our trained staff run a variety of fun, engaging and interactive activities, which are specially designed to help children recover from traumatic situations.

This year at Standon Calling we'll be putting up a CFS in the Kids Area.

And you're invited!

Come and truly experience how War Child and its specialist staff work to help children whose lives have been torn apart by war.

We’ll be holding sessions for two age groups: 5-7 years, and 8-12 years.

Children will participate in games and activities that have been designed by War Child.

Plus there’ll be an opportunity to find out more about the great work that the charity does around the world.
