Everyday Fundraisers Making an Extraordinary Impact

The power of community fundraising to ensure a safer future for children caught up in conflict.

At War Child, we believe in the power of people to support children living through the horrors of conflict. Every fundraiser plays a vital role in helping us deliver life-changing mental health care, education, and protection to some of the world’s most vulnerable children.

Over the past few months, we’ve seen just that: a wave of inspiring fundraisers who’ve gone the extra mile (literally and figuratively). From young changemakers to lifelong challengers, these amazing supporters have gone above and beyond to make a difference for children living through conflict:

🍋 Arya raised £40.60 for War Child with her homemade lemonade stand in May!

🏃‍♂️ Victor ran the London Marathon and raised £1,737, part of a collective £11,817 raised by 7 incredible runners who each dedicated their general ballot places to fundraise for children living through conflict.

🚴‍♀️ Elaine and Katie raised a total of £3,538 through their epic Land’s End to John O’Groats cycle. They first completed the cycle at 27, and made a pact to do it again at 60!

🥾 Zuhal took on the Jurassic Coast Challenge, raising £110

Thank you to every one of our fundraisers for helping us reach more children, in more places, with the support they urgently need. Your time, creativity, and compassion are helping us deliver life-changing support where it matters most.

Ready to make a difference?

Whether you want to run, ride, bake, walk, or create, there’s a way for everyone to get involved. Community fundraising is more than just raising money - it’s about coming together to help ensure a safer future for every child caught up in conflict.
