Last night, MPs in the UK voted against calling for a ceasefire in the conflict in Gaza and Israel, despite the numerous calls made by War Child and many other human rights and humanitarian organisations across the country.
The Start Network membership of more than 80 local, national, and international aid organisations is deeply worried by the current humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Overnight, the escalation in Gaza has intensified rapidly. Airstrikes have reached an unprecedented level, virtually all communication lines have been cut off and 125 children have been killed.
In the last 48 hours alone, 553 children have been killed in the Gaza Strip. Amid ongoing airstrikes and a near total siege preventing the free flow of humanitarian aid, War Child is responding where it can with local partners.
