Safe & Sound

War Child’s Safe & Sound series, celebrates the best of new and alternative artists to raise awareness for the importance of mental health for young people.

Live shows raising awareness for the importance of mental health for young people.

Safe & Sound celebrates the best in new, leftfield and alternative artists across Hackney’s unique range of incredible venues to raise awareness for the importance of mental health for young people.

The series began in 2018 with South-London’s Tom Misch kicking things off alongside special guest appearances from Loyle Carner, Jordan Rakei, Poppy Ajudha and Zak Abel, followed by a special celebration of electronic music from Jon Hopkins, Alexis Taylor, George Fitzgerald and Kelly Lee Owens, with Mercury Prize shortlisted art rockers Everything Everything finishing things off in style.

The series raises vital funds to support War Child’s work providing mental health support to children who have lived through the horrors of conflict.

War Child do such crucial work, so the fact that we could help in any way is an amazing feeling. The crowd were really up for it and it was extra special to bring some friends along to share this experience. If we’ve helped change one child’s life for the better then the night’s been a success.
