No child should be
part of war. Ever.

Around the world children are facing unprecedented levels of conflict. This is especially true in Gaza and Israel, where thousands of children have died in the most recent escalation in violence, fighting and bombing. Terrified, traumatised and unsure of what the future holds, children living in Gaza, Ukraine and other conflict zones around the world are in desperate need of protection.

War Child seeks to protect and advocate for the safety of all children in conflict zones.

We are horrified by the abduction and killings in Israel on October 7th, including the scenes of devastation that unfolded at a music festival. More than 1,400 Israeli people were killed in these attacks, with reports of over 200 people being taken hostage. Since then, rockets have continued to be fired at Israeli population centres.

We are horrified by the deepening humanitarian crisis in Gaza - where almost half of the population are children. Relentless bombardments from air, sea, and land have taken place since October 7th. Humanitarian relief has been blocked from entering Gaza, the UN has reported that food and clean water have been cut off, and medical supplies are going to run out very soon putting lives at risk. The number of fatalities in Gaza has now reached 8,000, including over 3,500 children.

About War Child

Children’s lives continue to be torn apart by bombs in Ukraine. They urgently need your help. Regular donations mean we can act rapidly when war breaks out, as well as continuing to be there long after the cameras have left. But there are thousands of children who still need us and we can't do it without you. Start your regular donation today.

At War Child, we are driven by a single goal – ensuring a safe future for every child living through war.

We work to protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children living through conflict and go to the hardest to reach places to support those who are hardest hit. We aim to be there for children who need us most, when they need us most.

We will never give up on children living through conflict.

Who we are
Quote from Gillian
There is absolutely no end in sight... It may go on, and on, and on... Whether it's supporting children with schooling... or families that really need somebody to talk to... War Child is on the ground, and continues to be on the ground.
