War Child X Everpress

Everpress have teamed up with Democratic Republic of Congo born illustrator Estherr La Main D’or to create this specially designed t-shirt, with 100% of profits being donated to War Child.

The shirt is part of the Parallel collection by Everpress - their annual celebration of independent musicians, record labels and venues, all coming together for a good cause. We’re delighted that this year they have selected to support War Child through the sale of an exclusive selection of designs.

We spoke to Estherr about her design and her partnership with Everpress for this collection...

What inspired your design?

"My illustration was inspired by the story of Noah in Genesis 8:11 . The dove symbolizes life after the flood, meaning hope for a brighter and better future. I wanted the child to hold the plant growing out of a piece of concrete to represent bravery and courage because anything is possible."

Why did you want to work on this collaboration?

"I wanted to work on this collab because I like the way Everpress supports and promotes a diversity of artists. And this collab was interesting to me because I love children and I would do anything in my power to help a child. I think kids are innocent and completely ignorant of what happens during war and it saddens me to see them suffer. I’m glad I was able to use my creativity to help them."

We’d like to say a huge thank you to Everpress for choosing War Child as their benefitting charity this year and to the artists who have chosen to take part in the collection.

Everpress:

Everpress, the sustainable t-shirt site, sell, manufacture and distribute independent artists designs. They aim to empower independent creatives by giving them a platform to sell their designs, all whilst keeping costs low, and quality high.

Marisa, Head of Marketing, Everpress

"At Everpress we are always humbled by how our creators use our platform to do good – from responding to crises to fundraising for charities and people who need it. No child should have to suffer from conflict, so we want to support those who sadly do. That’s why we’re proud to be partnering with War Child to bring together great names in music and raise funds that go directly to helping children across the world."
