Fane Productions X War Child UK

Fane, specialists in the production and curation of spoken word events, and War Child are proud to announce their new and exciting partnership.

Founded on the shared belief that the entertainment industry can deliver meaningful social impact on behalf of the third sector, this collaboration builds on War Child’s existing work within the music industry, where significant funds have been raised for the charity through music offerings and live music moments.

Through its live and online events programme, Fane can provide War Child with access to some of the most exciting names in culture and entertainment as well as global audiences.

Since April 2022, Fane has trialled a donation scheme with the charity, which has so far seen 3,252 customers add a £1 donation to their ticket purchases when buying through the Artist-tix platform. The first live event in collaboration with War Child were those of the award-winning actor, now bestselling author, Stanley Tucci in April 2022, which lead to record audience donations of over £5,950 on one night, the highest level of donations War Child has ever received through one live event. Tucci generously donated his event fee, as did his hosts – bestselling author and broadcaster Elizabeth Day and writer and podcaster Gemma Styles.

The formal partnership, effective from today, will see consistent fundraising schemes implemented across all Fane events, the continued suggested £1 donation or more on all tickets sold through the platform and including the introduction of donation QR codes at all events alongside information materials that raise awareness of War Child’s work.

Jess Hughes, Director at FANE Productions, said “We couldn’t think of a better charity partner for Fane. We stand by War Child’s mission and their values, and want to use our work to fuel support and real change. Through our shared creativity and networks, we look forward to raising vital funds and awareness in order to improve the lives of children across the globe”

Dean Anderson, Director of Communications and Fundraising at War Child, added: “Our network of incredible partners and friends across the music and entertainment industry have helped us raise millions of pounds for children living through conflict. We are so excited to be partnering with Fane, and grateful for the opportunity we have been given to branch out to new audiences and passionate people in the creative sector. We know this will go a long way in helping us make our mission a reality.”
