Donate to children in Syria

It’s been a year since millions of families in Syria – already struggling to survive a violent war - lost everything when two devastating earthquakes hit. War Child has been a lifeline for children and their families, supporting them with food, water and mental health first aid. But during an ongoing conflict, and without any infrastructure, jobs or rebuilding of homes, families are still living in dire conditions. Donate today and help us reach children in Syria and war zones around the world. We can’t do it without you.

Children in Syria have lost everything

6th February marks one year since two earthquakes devastated millions of lives in Syria and Türkiye. Tens of thousands were killed, and those who survived saw their schools, homes and possessions completely destroyed.

For Syrian children, this tragedy is compounded by the ongoing violence, destruction and loss that they live through every day because of the war. The conflict in Syria started almost 13 years ago. It’s hard to believe that most children have never known safety.

During ongoing airstrikes and shelling, families are still barely surviving the aftermath of the quakes, without proper food, electricity and shelter.

War Child has helped reunite displaced children with their families, provide mental health first aid and safe spaces for children who have lost everything. Families have relied on us for daily food, hygiene kits and ongoing education for children who are no longer in school.

But the destruction caused by the earthquake is nowhere near resolved, and children could be affected for years to come.

Donate today and help us be there for children in Syria and war zones all around the world.

Thank you.

How a monthly donation from you changes lives

Regular monthly gifts are an incredible way to support children living through conflict, both now and into the future. Your donations will mean we can provide life-saving aid when conflict breaks out, and stay to support children through their recovery - keeping them safe, helping them cope with their experiences, learn, and equip them with skills for the future. For 30 years, we've been driven by a single goal - for no child's life to be torn apart by war. By starting a regular monthly gift for children today, we can be there for vulnerable children living in war zones for as long as they need us.
