DONATE TO CHILDREN IN GAZA

Over 2 years of brutal conflict has left Gaza in ruins. Over 20,000 children have been killed and those who have managed to survive are severely traumatized. More than a million children are suffering from severe psychological distress, many unable to sleep or even speak. It's the worst mental health crisis for children that we have ever seen. 

Since the beginning of the year our teams on the ground helped over 162,000 children and adults in Gaza with psychological and emotional support, but with a ceasefire coming into place War Child is prepared and will be able to provide consistent services to the over one million desperate children who need rapid and specialist support.  

We will provide comprehensive support to the most vulnerable communities in Gaza, especially children and caregivers.  Our response will focus on our specialist areas where we know how to have significant and immediate impact - Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, Child Protection and Education. 

We will do this by expanding our work in the following areas:    

• Ensuring people without shelter receive emergency food, hygiene and basic assistance to address immediate needs  
• Ensuring children have access to specialist Mental Health services – including individual and group therapy and access to War Child safe spaces.  
• Ensuring children at high risk are identified, referred to specialised services and provided with the care and compassion they need to start recovering.  
• Expanding temporary learning spaces where older children that have already missed two years of school will be supported through catch-up classes.  

War Child has the expertise to scale up our work and will deliver the largest humanitarian response in our history. This moment must be a beginning, not an end.
