THIS IS A LOVE PROTEST
End the nightmare for children in warzones.
Right now is one of the deadliest times to be a child this century.
1 in 5 children worldwide are now affected by conflict, the highest number since the Second World War.
When war breaks out, children don't just lose their toys, homes and schools. In conflict zones like Gaza, Lebanon, Sudan and Ukraine, children are going through things so traumatic, they can often no longer eat, speak or sleep.
But War Child helps children to put the pieces back together. Our local staff work tirelessly in some of the most dangerous places in the world: creating safe spaces for children to play and learn, providing mental health care to help process their trauma, and cash assistance so families can afford essentials like heating fuel and food.
After yet another turbulent year filled with escalating conflict, it can feel like hope is hard to find. But if you look closely, you’ll see sparks of resistance — people choosing compassion, courage and solidarity over despair. LOVE, in its bravest and most liberating form, remains the strongest antidotes to the times we’re living through.
Inspired by those who stand up to adversity and those who offer everyday acts of care, we have joined forces with BUILDHOLLYWOOD and UNCLE to launch THIS IS A LOVE PROTEST: a UK-wide street gallery showcasing work from 21 leading artists. Each piece responds to the righteous and transformative power of love — all to raise vital funds for War Child
We are deeply grateful to the hugely talented artists who have contributed to this call for compassion. To find out more about the project and explore all the artworks, visit this website.
This winter, help War Child give children their first step towards bright, healthy and happy futures. We can’t do it without you.
