War Child is a specialist charity supporting children affected by conflict. For 30+ years, it has worked around the world to protect, educate, support mental health, and stand up children’s rights. It now works in 14 countries, including Ukraine.
Mental health support
Conflict leaves invisible scars. But there can be hope for recovery. War Child help children process trauma through art, play and sport, and begin healing through specialist mental health care.
Safe spaces and shelters
Every child deserves safety. War Child offers shelter, food and care, while transforming dark, cold bomb shelters into bright, welcoming spaces like kindergartens in Ukraine. You can help give a child who has lost everything somewhere to feel safe.
Support for parents
When parents are supported, children can thrive. War Child strengthens families with emotional support groups so parents can help their children recover. You can give children, and their families hope and the chance to recover from the unimaginable.
With your help War Child can provide safe shelter, food and mental health first aid, ensuring children are safe, and recover from trauma. Your donations will be used to fund our life-saving work across countries in conflict such as Ukraine, Gaza, Yemen, Afghanistan, Syria, the Central African Republic, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Every child deserves to play, to laugh, to be curious and hopeful about the world around them. Every child deserves a childhood and a future.
