War Child is proud to announce the release of "Heroes", our biggest and most ambitious album to date. Due for release on November 24 through EMI's Parlophone label, "Heroes" features an unprecedented collaboration between the biggest names in music history and today's hottest artists. With tracks such as a reworking of Sir Paul McCartney's Live and Let Die by Duffy, The Kooks covering the Kinks' Victoria, and Beck's cover of Bob Dylan's Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat, the completed War Child record will be an album of staggering musical diversity uniting the cream of musical giants from different generations. On September 19 2008, Habbo, the world's largest virtual world for teenagers teamed up with War Child UK to stage the world's biggest online gathering. Raising awareness of the impact of conflict on young people, thousands of teens came out to show their support for the UN International Day of Peace on Sunday 21 September.
