I am not Trash

More than 4 million people have died as a result of the conflict which has involved the consricption of more than 30,000 children into armed forces. Our research suggests that 10,000 of these children have been unable to reintegrate with their families and communities. I am not Trash spells out the vision children have for themselves and what War Child's intends to do about it locally, nationally and internationally.

Street Children in Crisis in DRC

In recognition of the right of children to be consulted on issues that affect their lives the All Party Parliamentary Group on Street Children, with War Child, and co-sponsored by the Jubilee Campaign, undertook a mission to Kinshasa in September 2006. This mission engaged street children directly and established an informed basis upon which the group will provide support to the efforts of the UK Government and international community in responding to this acute crisis.
