Lily Rose Beatrice Allen. Best known for her hit single “Smile”; fly-kicking photographers outside the Groucho club and being the daughter of Keith Allen. She’s also currently hosting her own BBC Three talk show Lily Allen and Friends.
Alongside all her music and talk shows, Lily is also a dab hand at politics. She’s been credited for helping to inspire one of the biggest parliamentary rebellions against Prime Minister Gordon Brown when she wrote members of Parliament asking them to back an amendment to an energy bill that would copy a system in Germany that pays homeowners, farmers, small businesses and owners of public buildings a fixed amount for every unit of renewable energy they generate. The government was forced to call back energy bill supporters from their campaigns and the move was defeated by a vote of 250 to 210.

Lily’s currently backing a campaign with Friends of the Earth and the Renewable Energy Association to boost green energy in homes and businesses around the country. She’s been recording tunes at The Premises in Hackney – the only solar recording studio in Europe.
