War Child and O2 are proud to announce that Ed Sheeran will headline this year’s BRIT Awards party, with special guests Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon, and BBC Sound of 2012 Artists, Dry The River.  The much anticipated annual event will take place at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, two nights before the BRIT Awards.

Emeli Sandé and Labrinth will be joining Ed Sheeran on stage for a unique collaboration as part of his headline set.   Emeli is the recipient of this year’s BRITs Critics’ Choice Award in association with War Child and Labrinth is no stranger to the BRITs either, having co-written, produced and featured on Tinie Tempah’s award winning single Pass Out.

Malian singer Fatoumata Diawara is a Mobo Award nominee and collaborated on Damon Albarn’s ‘Honest Jon’s Chop Up’at the Barbican.

Ed Sheeran, the undoubted man of the moment with 4 BRIT Awards nominations, will perform songs from his million selling album ‘+’.  And in keeping with the star studded history of the event, he will be joined on the bill by Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon performing an acoustic set all in aid of War Child.

The War Child and O2 annual BRIT Awards party returns to the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire having raised over £500,000 in the last three years. Now a firm fixture on the music calendar the event has staged unique performances from Coldplay, The Killers, Kasabian and Mark Ronson, plus special guest appearances from Bono, Boy George, Gary Barlow, Noel Fielding and Al Murray.
