Help! - A Day in the Life

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of our iconic Help album, we asked 20 of the UK’s finest bands and artists to donate a day of their lives to record a track for War Child.

On 8th September 2005 the artists entered recording studios across Europe. The album was made available for purchase at 6pm the following day.

Help! A Day in the Life became the fastest recorded number one album in British music history. 80,000 tracks were downloaded in a weekend – making it at the time the fastest downloaded album ever.

The Manics, Radiohead, Damon Albarn ... came back because they realised that 'Help' means something. To many children around the world, 'A Day in the Life' is a terrifying thing. To these kids, 'Help' matters.
