John Squire

John Squire

The Stone Roses were one of the first acts to commit to our first ever album - Help in 1995. Guitarist John Squire has been supporting us ever since.

The band recorded a live version of 'Love Spreads ' in Rockfield studios in Wales. In doing so they provided the catalyst for the other acts to get recording their tracks.

As Tony Crean noted at the time "The idea was to get some of the laziest people you could think of to do something as quickly as possible. That a band like the Stone Roses, who took five years to record one album, could actually turn round a track in a day sends out a signal that anything is possible."

Now a celebrated artist, it was John who painted the artwork which adorns the cover of our 'Help', 'Help! A Day in the Life', and 'Heroes' albums.
