The band also hotfooted it straight from the BRIT awards in 2009 to headline an intimate gig in aid of War Child.

Chris Martin commented afterwards: "We couldn't have imagined that we'd make this work. The fact that the money raised from tickets have enabled War Child to extend the reach of their work is astonishing. War Child is one of the world’s most important charities.”
