What motivated you to do this challenge?:

There are too many reasons to list but I’ll start with the discovery that we didn’t feel like we were accomplishing anything really worthwhile in our day jobs, add to that a real sense of wanderlust, the love of a good challenge and wearing lycra…

Why did you choose to raise money for War Child?:

For me it all started back at the beginning of the 2nd Iraq war when I saw some uncompromisingly horrific TV footage of dead children and this made me think about what life must be like for a child growing up in those terrible conditions, often alone and without hope. I immediately started the search for a charity that would help give the child victims of war a chance at life that they would not otherwise receive, War Child fitted bill exactly. Once I explained this to Matt and he followed up with his own research into War Child the decision was made.
