Fundraising challenge:

‘Abigail's 11/11/11 challenge: On 11/11/2011 Abigail will turn 11 years old. She'll spend the day taking part in a fundraising challenge for War Child.

• 11 mile walk
• 11 mile cycle
• 11 mile horse-ride.

"The walking is going to be hardest. We did a trial on holiday in Cornwall. It was really tiring but good fun. I reckon it will take about four hours to do the walk, and two hours to cycle 11 miles and then about two and half hours for the horse riding. I will have to do some of it in the dark. I hope it does not rain or snow!"

What motivated you to do this challenge?:

I really wanted to help children who were in great danger and have no shelter to live under.

Why did you choose to raise money for War Child?:

I chose to raise money for War Child because it would be torture for children to be hearing bombs dropping, and maybe even having to fight in a war. Children in war countries need us and I want to raise as much money as possible for them.
