Climb a Mountain

Challenge yourself for War Child

Up for the challenge of a lifetime? Our organised treks, hikes, bikes and paddles are a great way of seeing the world and helping to change it at the same time!

Climb Mount Kilimanjaro

Push yourself to the limits and climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. We're working on the ground in neighbouring Uganda and the money you raise during this once-in-a-lifetime experience will change the lives of vulnerable children in east Africa and beyond.

At 5,895m, Mt. Kilimanjaro is one of the largest volcanoes ever to break through the Earth's crust. Your challenge is to reach its summit.

Trek in Peru for charity

Trek to Peru

Immerse yourself in ancient Peruvian culture and experience diverse scenery such as tropical Andean rainforests, the snow capped mountain ranges of the Andes and of course Machu Picchu, one of the world’s most important archaeological finds.

Cycling

War Child pedal power has taken our fundraisers on some amazing journeys - including two pairs of chaps who are cycling round the world. But if you'd like to leave the organising to someone else then why not sign up for our featured 3 Cities cycle in August 2013 that takes you from London to Brussels via Amsterdam. Find out more here.

If you fancy riding triumphantly along the Arc De Triumph à la Bradley Wiggins then why not sign up for a London-Paris cycle. Get inspired by the video then get involved for War Child...

Other Challenge Events

There's loads of climbing, cycling, kayaking and walking expeditions you can do to raise money for War Child. If you'd prefer to choose your own adventure then have a look to see if you can find anything on the Charity Challenge or Skyline Events websites to whet your appetite.

Kilimanjaro climbers“We are both pacifists and hate to see the effects of War, especially on innocent children. We have always been so impressed with the work that War Child does and we figured if were going to undertake a challenge like hiking Kilimanjaro we wanted it to really mean something.”
