Volunteers wanted for Uganda programme
Uganda Blog | 9th March 2009
We are training 120 child mothers and formerly abducted young people in computing, auto-mechanics, welding and fabrication and catering so that they’ll be able to find work and help their communities. Another 120 have just been enrolled into mainstream secondary schools and will be preparing to sit to their O'Levels in 8 months to become teachers, nurses and craft technicians. But we need volunteers to make this happen.
If you have skills in any of these fields (computing, auto-mechanics, welding and metal fabrication, hotel & hospitality management or teaching skills, then contact us to find out more information. This project in Pader, northern Uganda is largely dependent on receiving volunteer support, so you’ll be making a real difference to this work. Assignments are for a minimum of three months and self funded.
If you are interested then please send us an email to: benb @ warchild.org.uk telling us what skills you've got and when/how long you'd be available.

Hello There, I am a Secondary School teacher and would love to volunteer over the summer holiday. Please can you email me details - length of time, duties etc.
Thank you!!
